Work on implementing common curriculum continues
Last fall, the faculty voted to approve a common curriculum that defines the academic experience and intended learning outcomes that every undergraduate student should have upon graduation, regardless of major. In February, Provost Russ Moore directed that implementation of the common curriculum move forward.
Key milestones for implementing the common curriculum this year will include working with the Boulder Faculty Assembly on a policy establishing a campus curriculum committee and appointing a consultant to oversee the mapping of current curricula (majors/minors + college/school degree requirements) and co-curriculum offered by the First-Year Experience onto the common curriculum learning outcomes.
