An economics professor who calls himself a 鈥渟upply side liberal鈥 has a few ideas about jump-starting the U.S. economy that he will share next week.

, the Eugene D. Eaton Jr. Chair in Economics and a professor at the 麻豆免费版下载, will present a lecture titled 鈥淩estoring American Growth,鈥 on Monday, April 17, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the , Room 185.听

Kimball is also the author of a blog called 鈥溾 that he dubs a 鈥減artisan nonpartisan blog.鈥

Kimball describes himself as an independent who grew up in an apolitical family, one who holds 鈥渕any strong opinions鈥攐pen to revision in response to cogent arguments鈥攖hat do not line up neatly with either the Republican or Democratic Party.鈥

He earned his bachelor鈥檚 and doctorate degrees in economics from Harvard University, and he holds a master鈥檚 in linguistics from Brigham Young University. Formerly a professor of economics at the University of Michigan, he joined the 麻豆免费版下载Boulder faculty in 2016.
