The Cultural Events Board encourages opportunities for interaction among students resulting in respect, appreciation, and understanding for cultural differences.

        1. Educate people on the history and the cultural significance of Hip-Hop and other street dance styles

        2. Develop the local street dance community

      2. Being that Hip-Hop has deep roots and cultural significance to Black culture, and your mentioned plan to honor and recognize this, who are you going to have speak on this? 

        1. Who will be the speakers?

          1. Students who are studying hip-hop here at CU

      3. How do you intend to ensure that the audience comes away with that cultural significance?

        1. There is a digital programme that audience members can take away from the event

      4. What is your plan to ensure that marketing reaches all of the student body, specifically those outside of the dance community?

        1. Spent a long time postering in as many buildings as possible

        2. Everyone on the team is also tasked with sharing on their respective communities and social media platforms

      5. In the past, we¡¯ve run into communication and logistics issues with VeRVE

        1. Last year, there were difficulties with the performers that they wanted to bring in 

          1. Performers quit

        2. Also had leadership quit

        3. Heavy focus on making conscious decisions that will help the longevity of VeRVE

        1. Encourage and support women of color

      2. Also partnering with Pi Lambda Chi Latina Sorority 

      3. Purpose:

        1. A lot of students -particularly students of color- experience culture shock.

          1. Goal of creating an environment where people have the opportunity to be themselves 

        2. Get rid of the label of exoticism

        1. Goal to get more student involvement in the show

      1. In other MGC affiliated events that have occurred within this past semester, we have noted that there has been a heavy MGC presence, somewhat being the sole audience members. How will you ensure that your marketing for this event will reach the entirety of the student body?

        1. MGC is required to attend all other MGC events which is why there are so many MGC members at events

        2. Planning to spend a lot more time on advertising

        3. Planning to reach out to other organizations on campus

      2. Last year, it was a little challenging to see some of the performances when they were not on the stage in GM. Do you have any plans to help with this problem?
