Being fortunate enough to travel has opened my eyes, allowing me to look beyond the beaches and scenery of a place and appreciate more the diversity of different traditions, cultures, and ways of life. Traveling to Israel in 2018 was especially meaningful, deepening my connection to my Jewish heritage. The trip made me truly appreciate the history of my ancestors and how much they gave in order for their story to live on, shaping people like me into who we are today.

Most recently, a trip to Italy in 2024 gave me the chance to see firsthand how engineering and design have evolved over thousands of years. Walking down Rome's brick roads put history into perspective—seeing a country so rich in culture and innovation yet so different from the U.S. was an eye-opener, once again allowing me to experience and appreciate the life of different cultures.

Instances like these have shaped the way I look at society and the way I approach life, and I am eager to continue learning about global perspectives through the Global Engineering RAP.
Global experiences and perspectives improve engineering by exposing us to new ways of thinking and problem-solving. Engineering isn’t about designing and building random gadgets, it’s about creating solutions to real problems affecting real people around the world. Seeing how other countries approach engineering has made me realize how much culture and environment shape our world’s innovation.

When I visited Rome, I was struck by how ancient structures like plumbing and roads have lasted for thousands of years. This made me realize that good engineering is about longevity and adaptability more than anything. Experiences like these have shown me that engineering isn’t one-size-fits-all—the best solutions are shaped by the world around them.

As someone interested in both mechanical and chemical engineering, I want to apply this mindset to designing technology that improves lives on a global scale. Whether it’s being at the forefront of developing fusion energy or creating a new type of soil to help places with limited access to food and water get the resources they need, understanding different perspectives will help me create solutions that are both innovative and practical, helping the world around me. The Global Engineering RAP is a perfect resource that will help me turn this dream into a reality.
I want to join the Global Engineering RAP at Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder to explore engineering through a global perspective and grow both as an engineer and a person. This community will help me tackle real-world problems with diverse perspectives. I plan to contribute by sharing my experiences and fostering collaboration that values creativity and problem-solving.
