What are Learning Outcomes?

Learning outcomes are statements about what students can expect to know or be able to do. Communicating learning outcomes with students creates a shared understanding about the purpose and expectations of an assignment, course, or program. In this session, participants will create, evaluate, and refine course learning outcomes, and learn how these outcomes can guide decisions about course content, activities, assignments, and other assessments.
