Cloe received her BA from 鶹ѰBoulder in May 2011 with majors in Molecular, Cellularand Developmental Biology (MCDB) and Biochemistry, and a minor in Chemistry. She wasrostered in the MCDB Department and wasadvised by Dr. Nolan Kane (EBIO). Cloe uses genomic tools to address a variety of ecological and evolutionary questions in a range of biological systems. Specifically, she is interested in the underlying genomic consequences of the obligate lichen symbiosis, and the genetics of domestication in the common sunflower, Helianthus annuus. IQ Biology not only provided important funding, but also provided the training and encouragement necessary for an interdisciplinary PhD project. Because of thisCloe utilizes diverse skills, wet lab work to programming, to accomplish her projects. Cloegraduatedin Summer 2018.
