Matt Gelso (Finā10) skis along the Owl Creek Chase course between Aspen and Snowmass as a junior. He was the 2010 champion in the NCAA classical race in Steamboat Springs, Colo., in March.
The ski team finished second in the NCAA Championships for the third straight year ā behind the University of Denver in each case ā and for the ninth time in program history.

One skier āĀ Matt GelsoĀ (Finā10) ā captured an individual NCAA title at Steamboat. He claimed victory in the Nordic 10-kilometer classical race. Only one other American-born skier in history has won the NCAA classical race ā Northern Michiganās Christopher Cook in 2003.
Representing the Ā鶹Ćā·Ń°ęĻĀŌŲwomen, sophomoreĀ Alexa TurzianĀ placed second in the15k freestyle.
