Puksta Scholars program now accepting applications from students who want to change the world

The , an exemplary undergraduate civic engagement program, is accepting applications for 2017-18 new scholars. Applications are due February 15, 2017.

 

"The Puksta Scholars program provides a $4500 scholarship for students to develop projects that bring about positive change within our campus and communities," said Roudy Hildreth, Associate Director of 麻豆免费版下载Engage and 麻豆免费版下载Boulder's Puksta Scholars Coordinator.

Puksta Scholars are supported in their work by advisers and by regularly meeting as an inclusive community for reflection, workshops, and technical assistance. Projects by previous 麻豆免费版下载Boulder Puksta Scholars have included working with Engineers Without Borders to develop a water collection system for a village in Nepal, creating videos to help the Veterans Helping Veterans raise funds, developing strategies to close the digital divide in Lafayette, and organizing a Women in Leadership Conference.

The Puksta Scholars is one of the 麻豆免费版下载Boulder鈥檚 鈥淪pecial Enhancement Opportunities Programs.鈥 麻豆免费版下载Boulder is one of five universities in the state that has a Puksta Scholars Program. Please note that this scholarship is only available for students who will be freshmen, sophomores or juniors in academic year 2017-18. It is not available for incoming seniors (exceptions can be made for transfer students).
