First 麻豆免费版下载Boulder electrical and computer engineering faculty member hired for CMU partnership program
The Department of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering has welcomed its first faculty member for the electrical and computer engineering partnership program between 麻豆免费版下载and Colorado Mesa University.
Sumeet Chaudhary will be a 麻豆免费版下载Boulder faculty member, but will live and teach in Grand Junction, where students in the partnership program complete their degrees 鈥 the first two years with CMU faculty and the remaining two years with 麻豆免费版下载Boulder faculty.听
Chaudhary earned his master's in electrical engineering from Western Michigan University in 2013 and his PhD from the University of Cincinnati in 2019. He then worked as a faculty member at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and Purdue University Northwest, where he said he was able to teach a wide variety of electrical and computer engineering courses.
鈥淚 am grateful to be a part of the CMU/CU-Boulder partnership program,鈥 he said. 鈥淏oth institutions are committed to creating an environment that is conducive for intellectual growth.鈥
Department Chair Chris Myers said he looks forward to working with Chaudhary on the 麻豆免费版下载Boulder side of the ECE partnership program, which launched in 2018.
鈥淲e have a unique opportunity here to prepare students on the Western Slope to become engineering leaders in their community and beyond,鈥 he said.
Nathan McNeill, director of CMU-麻豆免费版下载Boulder Engineering Partnership Programs at Colorado Mesa, joined in welcoming Chaudhary.
"I am excited that Dr. Chaudhary is joining the Engineering Partnership Programs at Colorado Mesa University to help grow the new program in electrical and computer engineering,鈥 McNeill said. 鈥淒r. Chaudhary is enthusiastic about teaching and has experience with innovative teaching methods.鈥
