The Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØGreen Labs ProgramÌýrecognizes Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulderÌýmembers (students, staff and faculty), individual labs, campus groups and departmentsÌýfor their remarkable actions and commitments.

  • Avoid or reduceÌýthe environmental footprintÌýof scientificÌýresearch.
  • Advance resource efficiency and sustainability practices in laboratory research.
  • StrengthenÌýthe culture of sustainability in the science community.
  • Actively engage in cultural movements and practices that dismantle systems of oppression affecting historically excluded peoples in the science research field.
  • Address injustices connected to scientific research, such as hazardous materials exposure and unjust labor conditions in lab product manufacturing.

Call for Nominations

The Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØGreen Labs Awards will be presented for the eleventh year at the 2025ÌýCampus Sustainability Summit in April.

Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØGreen Labs Award recipients' actions align with Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder’s sustainability goals and advance a sustainability culture in the science community.Ìý

Nominations are open to members of the Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder campus and will be evaluated based on the following:

  • Overall beneficial impact and long-term impact.
  • How the effort set an example for others.
  • How the effort goes above and beyond expected job duties and what is expected by campus or in a typical research environment.

Nominations must be received by March 10, 2025.
