Video: How Kayla Sprenger Uses Computational Tools in Energy and Health Research
Kayla Sprenger is an assistant professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering and the Biomedical Engineering Program at Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder. Her Rational Design of Immunotherapeutics (RDI) Lab works on a variety of challenges in energy and health fields, leveraging approaches from statistical learning and data science. Today, her research spans from developing vaccines for diseases like HIV to breaking down mixed plastic waste streams into valuable chemicals. This highly interdisciplinary work is focused at the crossroads of physics, engineering and immunology, and done in close synergy with experimentalists and clinicians.
