Bio: Dr. Robyn L. Macdonald is an assistant professor of Aerospace Engineering Sciences at the Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØ. Her research interests are in computational modeling of physical phenomena relevant to hypersonic flowfields, including gas phase chemistry, laminar-ot-turbulent transition, and turbulent flows. She completed her PhD at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2019 under the advisement of Dr. Marco Panesi. She worked as a post-doctoral researcher for two years at the University of Minnesota with Dr. Graham Candler. Since starting as an assistant professor in 2021, she has won a number of awards including the AFOSR Young Investigator Program (YIP) and NASA Early Career Faculty (ECF) award.
