Graduate School's March announcements

Welcome to a new monthly听email from the Graduate School. Going forward, it will arrive the third Monday of each month and will pass along important details to help you prepare for next month鈥檚 academic and funding deadlines. It will also let you know about upcoming professional development offerings designed especially for graduate students. We hope you find it useful in tracking approaching deadlines and Graduate School sponsored opportunities.

Graduation Deadlines

March 1, 2022

  • Graduate students must apply online to graduate through on the 鈥渁pply for graduation鈥 card in order to have the degree awarded in May.听 This is required whether you plan to participate in the commencement ceremony or not. PhD students must enter their dissertation title as part of the online graduation application; you may update the title through the portal until this date. This title will appear on your transcript after your degree is awarded.听

March 1, 2022 听

  • Master's students must submit to the Graduate School a Candidacy Application for an Advanced Degree if they have not already done so. Applications must be approved by the academic department before submission and should be sent to the Graduate School by the department via e-mail.

    Mastering Your Habitual Tendencies: How to Learn More Effective Productivity Habits

Funding Deadlines听

  • Apply for GPSG's Excellence Awards by March 17. Each award comes with a monetary prize of $400 paid to recipients through a scholarship applied to their student accounts.听
