Course Description
The purpose of Becoming an Inclusive Leader series is to provide supervisors, managers, leaders and aspiring leaders at Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder with the knowledge and skills to lead their teams to be more inclusive and equitable, as well as the ability to create a sense of belonging among team members. Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder is committed to advancing the IDEA Plan and building an inclusive culture on campus.Â
Learning Outcomes
- Understand how a leader's lived experiences, identities, biases, and leadership style influence their role as a supervisor/manager in creating an inclusive environment. Select inclusive strategies to support a sense of belonging for their teams.Â
- Apply inclusive practices to retain and engage direct reports. Examine ways to increase their intercultural competence.Â
- Develop inclusive habits for managing performance. Design an inclusive excellence plan to operationalize the IDEA Plan.Â
