As our community works to contain the spread of the virus, many parents and caregivers are learning to manage a new reality. As families adapt to new information and safety measures, they are experiencing greater levels of stress in the family system. Children can be among the most vulnerable in times of crisis and it is important for parents and caregivers to be equipped to help them understand and communicate what they are going through. In this interactive presentation, we will discuss tips for how parents and caregivers can help children cope with frightening or traumatic events and offer suggestions for staying connected to each other in healthy ways.
