Hebrew students performing

On March 2, the Program in Jewish Studies hosted its second annual Hebrew Shmooze-A-Palooza, a musical celebration of the Hebrew and Yiddish classes at CU-Boulder. Lead byÌýEyal Rivlin, Hebrew Instructor at CU, students prepared musical arrangements in Biblical Hebrew, Modern Hebrew, and Yiddish and performed them for their fellow classmates, prospective Hebrew students, and Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØfaculty. Rivlin, an accomplished musician,Ìýand a handful of local Boulder musiciansÌýaccompanied the student performers.

This event exemplifies Prof. Rivlin's creative pedagogical approach:Ìýencouraging students to learn language through music, which helps students retain their language learning skills and makes learning Hebrew fun!ÌýCheck out the fun below in a few of our photos from the event!
