Discovering and promoting emotional health in adolescence and across the lifespan. The mission of the RADD Lab is to gain insight into the brain and behavioral processes that reflect or underlie depression and other mood experiences, with the goal of leveraging our discoveries to foster emotional health.

What We Do in the RADD Lab

We are engaged in research that asks the questions: how can brain functioning and behavior help us to understand the experience of depression in adolescence and over the course of human development? can we use brain or behavioral markers to better predict depression – or to predict resilience? and how can we enhance brain and behavioral functioning to promote emotional health and wellness throughout the lifespan?
