The lab had its first ever "lunch and learn", a (hopefully) recurring event aimed at helping all lab members grow as engineers and researchers by having a volunteer give a colloquial "deep dive" into a subject, possibly over lunch.

This time, Colton gave the lab an in-depth overview of the lab's fancy new 3D printer, including its swanky multi-filament and remote printing capabilities as well as how to get setup in the printer's custom and surprisingly complex slicer software. You're killing it Colton!!

The lab celebrated the holidays with a lab-wide secret santa! Among the gifts were lego sets, gift cards, cat toys, tool holders, and fishing lures, but the true gifts were the friendships we made along the way.

Afterwards, the lab had a holiday dinner at the Greg-proclaimed "Boulder institution" The Sink!

Following Charlie's successful defense, the lab celebrated the new Dr. Callahan with champagne in the office and pizza at Backcountry Pizza & Tap House. We're gonna miss you Charlie!

They say there's nothing scarier than the prospect of never surpassing the greatness of your PI, so this Halloween members of the PLDL dressed up in the spookiest costume imaginable: their fearless leader Greg Rieker. They all donned the light button-downs and dark pants that are classic staples in Greg's daily wardrobe, but unfortunately Greg predicted this might happen and uncharacteristically chose to wear a sweater instead.
