Martino Mangano (He/him/his) is an Italian-American linguist from Madison, Wisconsin. His research investigates discursive identity construction on American political talk shows, specifically regarding the Morning JoeÌýshow's construction of transgender issues in the run up and aftermath of the 2024 Presidential Election. His research employs an interdisciplinary approach pulling from fields such as linguistic anthropology, discourse analysis, conversation analysis, media studies, among others. He serves as a managing editor, along with Kanupriya Kale, of the Colorado Research in Linguistics (CRIL) Journal and as a representative in the Graduate Linguistics Association for M.A. Linguistics students.
