How to Join
Any student can join, regardless of experience or ability level! To join the team, you must...
- Be a student at Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder
- Be enrolled in at least 9 undergraduate credits OR 6 graduate credits
- Fill out a release form via the rec center
- Pay team dues ($400/year) or ($200/semester)
We hold an interest meeting during the first week of the fall semester. If the interest meeting has passed, you are unable to attend, or you have any questions, contact one of the officers. You are always welcome to drop by one of our practices as well.
Practices
All practices are optional - our philosophy is "you get out what you put in." We only ask that you respect the time of your coach and fellow athletes. All practices are at the University of Colorado at Boulder Recreation Center.
Facilities
Our practices and home meets are held in the Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØCompetition Pool at the University Rec Center. This facility features an 8-lane competition pool and a diving well with two 1-meter springboards and a 3-meter springboard.Â
Swim practices are held:
- Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 3:30-5:30 pm
- Tuesday/Thursday: 7:15-9:15 am
Dive practices are held Monday/Wednesday/Thursday from 3:30-5:30 pm.

Q: Are there tryouts for the team?
A: No. The team accepts all ability and commitment levels
Q: What time do practices take place?
A: Swim practices take place from 3:30 to 5:30 PM on M/W/F and from 7:15-9:15 AM on T/Th. Dive practices take place from 3:30 to 5:30 PM on M/W/Th
Q: How much does the team cost?
A: Team dues are $400/year or $200/semester. This includes a team shirt, all transportation and hotels for away meets, many meals at away meets, coaches' salaries, and pool space. The fee does not cover the optional Training Trip that takes place each January.Â
Q: Do you have to qualify for Nationals?
A: Yes. All athletes are limited to 4 individual events and 5 relays. Click here for qualification times
Q: Is the team part of a national organization?
A: Yes. Our team is governed by College Club Swimming.
Q: Are meets and practices mandatory?
A: No. Athletes are encouraged to attend and participate however their schedule allows.Â
Q: Who do I contact to ask specific questions?
A: Address the appropriate officer or coach depending on your question:
- President - General information and questions about the team, meet schedule/entries, or anything else.Â
- Vice President -Â Questions about College Club Swimming, fundraising, and sponsorship ideas.Â
- Finance Officer -Â Dues and the team budget.Â
- Travel Officer - Travel to meets, hotels, and training trip.Â
- Captains - Team activities, the team's atmosphere, or interest in joining the team.Â
