Flu season is nearly upon us, and it takes five to seven days for the vaccine to be effective, so go and get your free flu shots now! The flu virus spreads through a college campus like wildfire and can make you miss a lot of classes (and fun weekly events), so vaccinate to protect yourself and those around you. Walk-in flu shots are offered at a variety of times and locations around campus;Ìýsee the link above to find out when and where you can get one.

The Dennis Small Cultural Center is hostingÌýa free movie screening from 4:30 to 6 p.m.Ìýin UMC 204.ÌýThe OUT ListÌýis a documentary by Timothy Greenfield-Sanders about the American LGBT community and the challenges it faces. All are welcome to attend.
Wednesday, Oct. 4
Come and discover the ancient practice of Kirtan, an Indian form of meditation involving chanting and music from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in UMC 204. This free meditation session will help you de-stress and unwind from the pressures of academic life and relax in a feel-good setting.
The Boulder Farmers Market hosts the annual Harvest Festival, which starts at 4 p.m. and runs until 8 p.m. in Central Park (13th StreetÌýand Canyon Boulevard), to celebrate the delicious food the season offers. There will be a pie baking contest, live music, a photo booth and tons of autumn foods to eat, so don’t miss out!
Every month The Herd Alumni Association hostsÌýWelcome Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Koenig Alumni Center, where they give awayÌýfree lunch to any and all Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder students (this week's lunch isÌýcatered by Zolo Mexican Grill). The Ralphie handlers and their coach will make a special appearance, as well. Just be sure to bring your Buff OneCard.

The Program Council will be ringing in the month of Halloween right with this classic film about a family who moves into a haunted house and the lewd poltergeist who torments them. The movie begins at 8 p.m. in Chem 140, and popcorn will be provided. The screening is free with a valid Buff OneCard.
Family WeekendÌýbringsÌýnearly 4,000 Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder family members toÌýcampusÌýbeginning Thursday, Oct.Ìý5, through Sunday, Oct.Ìý8. Family Weekend is a greatÌýopportunity to welcome yourÌýfamilyÌýto visit yourÌýcampus home, attend presentations, tour the campus and Boulder and cheer on the Buffs as they take on the University of Arizona on Saturday.

The Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØSwing Dance Club will be hosting a super fun opportunity to get out of the house and strut your stuffÌýin the old-school cool tradition. From 7 to 8 p.m. in the Carlson Gym Basement Studio, there will be a free lesson followed by a dance social where you can show your new skills. You needn’t bring a partner—that being said, this would be a great place to bring a date.
Running from noon Saturday to 11 p.m.ÌýSunday, the Adventure Film Festival is what all you outdoor explorers and adrenaline enthusiasts have been waiting for: a compilation of films, food, workshopsÌýand hikes all centered on adventure around the world and in Boulder. Primarily located at Boulder Theater, the film lineup is diverse in nature and exciting in content.ÌýThe full schedule is available online, and tickets start at $25.
Saturday, Oct. 7
Join the International Student andÌýScholar Services for a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park. You can catch the bus at 7:15 a.m. at the C4C to go up into this beautiful area to hike and see some gorgeous scenery, then get lunch in Estes Park and visit the historic Stanley Hotel. Be sure to register online in advance before all the spots are filled!
