Experts say canine companionship—even in small doses—can provide humans with health benefits such as reduced blood pressure, cholesterol and stress.

The inaugural Stay & Play Dog Café, which took place 1–5 p.m. today, was sponsored by the Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder Office of Student Conduct & Conflict Resolution.ÌýAdvisors wanted to give students a place where they could relax, bond with pupsÌýfrom and meet with staff about any conflicts they might be experiencing

TheÌýdog café taps into the nationwide popularity of cat cafés by letting students sip on coffee, nibble on mini cupcakes and other treats while they mix it up with gentle golden retrievers and other dogs.

The event featured rugs, vintage couches and chairs, awnings and café-style seating.
