Being a sustainable Buff is something we can do wherever we are, at any time of the year. This Earth Day, consider joining together with your fellow Buffs to take the Sustainable Buffs Pledge. Everyone in the Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder community is encouraged to take the pledge—students, graduate students, staff, faculty and other campus community members.

Why take the pledge?

Many of us have goals to be more sustainable. But sometimes it can be challenging to know where to start, especially as our normal routines have been disrupted by the impacts of COVID-19.

However, even the smallest actions can add up and make a difference. In addition to joining a worldwide community of Sustainable Buffs, taking the pledge helps you commit to making better choices—no matter how big or small.

Become a Sustainable Buff

Sustainable Buffs do what they can to make sustainable choices every day. As a part of the pledge, here are some things you can do this week:

  • Check out the to help use up food before it expires. After adding what ingredients you have on hand, SuperCook finds recipes with those ingredients from popular cooking websites.
  • Unplug devices at home when they aren’t in use to save energy.
  • Browse Netflix and other streaming services for documentaries to stay informed, and learn more about sustainability solutions through .
  • Download the PIPs app and get rewarded for your sustainable actions.
