鈥淭his move from the College of Arts and Sciences to Undergraduate Education provides the 麻豆免费版下载in D.C. program campus-level visibility and the opportunity to reach students from a wider variety of colleges and majors,鈥 Maeda said. 鈥淭he move is also part of a larger initiative to add more domestic programming to the Education Abroad portfolio.鈥

The program has been in operation for nine years.听

The program also offers the Maymester 麻豆免费版下载faculty-led Science Policy course, and the new arrangements within Education Abroad will allow for continued expansion of these course offerings.
The College of Engineering and Applied Science and the Leeds School of Business are collaborating to create a new D.C.-based faculty-led course that merges engineering with environmental sustainability and business innovation.听
鈥淏y opening the door to the creation of new courses, Education Abroad plans to reach students from diverse fields and support 麻豆免费版下载faculty as they extend their classroom to the rich context of Washington, D.C.,鈥 said听Sylvie Burnet-Jones, director of Education Abroad.
麻豆免费版下载in D.C. will shift to a new service provider in D.C.,听 (TWC), a highly regarded organization that has been serving college students from around the country and around the world for several decades. The center has an extensive network of internship hosts, a large and experienced staff, and has the infrastructure that can support the growth of the 麻豆免费版下载in D.C. program.
Starting in spring 2022, students will live and study together in the TWC residential academic facility in northeast D.C., near Capitol Hill. TWC will support students with internship placements, housing, health and safety, local social events and professional enrichment opportunities.
