Welcome back, Buffs! This week brings to campus a winter grad classroom party, a graduate student coffee hour, the off-campus housing fair, a drag bingo event and more.

Monday, Dec. 2

  2–3 p.m.   UMC North Dining Room and stage
Stop by for some hors d’oeuvres on your way to class and learn about different campus organizations. 

  5–10 p.m.   UMC Gaming Lounge
Don't miss the fall semester finale of the Ultimate Gamer Tournament featuring Minecraft Bingo. The Fall 2024 Gamer of the Semester will be crowned during this event. 

  6–7 p.m.   Flatiron Cafe
Join the Nordic Club and listen to old Norse poetry and enjoy a free cup of coffee or tea.

  7–9 p.m.   The Connection
Show off your skills at an 8-ball or 9-ball billiards tournament at The Connection! Free to enter. Sign-up starts at 6 p.m. at The Connection front desk. Prizes for top finishers!

  7–10 p.m.   UMC 235
Join Senior Class Council in celebrating our winter graduates! Enjoy a night of nostalgia with all of your elementary school favorites including hot cocoa, the “Polar Express,” a photo booth and ornament making. 

Tuesday, Dec. 3

  9:30–11:30 a.m.   UMC 247
Energize your day and join this event for free coffee and connections with your fellow graduate students. 

  5–7 p.m.   UMC 235
Fuel up for finals and build your own finals survival kit complete with a variety of snacks, drinks and wellness items such as hand sanitizer and Kleenex! And stick around to de-stress with fun coloring pages! All supplies are provided, space is limited and .  

Wednesday, Dec. 4

  4–7 p.m.   Village Center, Multipurpose Room
Find off-campus housing and meet with landlords, city offices and vendors. This fair also offers a chance to learn more about the leasing process and tips for living off campus. Free giveaways when you attend! The event is free and open to all students. No registration is required. 

  5:30–7 p.m.   Rec Center   $10
Get your gear ready for winter at our ski and snowboard tuning workshop. We will provide all the necessary equipment, and our staff will help you through the process. Whether you need a quick refresher or a more detailed tutorial, we have tips for keeping your gear in the best shape possible. $10 fee.

Thursday, Dec. 5

  2 p.m.   St. Aidan's Episcopal Church
The mobile food pantry is free and open to �鶹��Ѱ�����Boulder students, faculty and staff, and community members of Boulder and Broomfield counties. Attendees will receive up to 30 pounds of food in multiple boxes. Food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Registration is required.

  3–6 p.m.   Museum of Natural History (Henderson), Paleontology Hall
Attend the seventh annual Apple Tree Symposium at the �鶹��Ѱ�����Museum of Natural History. This event is sponsored by CU's Boulder Apple Tree Project and will feature Todd Little-Siebold from the College of the Atlantic and the Maine Heritage Orchard as the keynote speaker. Please note the in-person event is limited to 60 attendees, but there will be opportunities to attend via Zoom as well. .

The Center for African and African American Studies (CAAAS) invites you to an evening celebrating the rich heritage and values of African and African American communities.

Join fellow art aficionados to create a work of art that even the beginning painter can be proud of! Take some time to relax and learn from a pro. This is a great way to engage with your peers while creating a painting you can’t wait to show off! All supplies included.

Need a mini oasis during finals? Visit the CSI Resource Center to build your own custom zen garden to add a touch of calm and tranquility to your desk. Free supplies are provided, while supplies last.

Feeling the finals pressure? Unwind with Health Promotion at our non-violent rage room. We'll also have DIY tote bags, free comfort food and other fun ways to recharge.

Saturday, Dec. 7

�鶹��Ѱ�����in the Community is a series of one-time, student-led volunteer projects offered each semester in collaboration with local nonprofit organizations. A Precious Child provides children in need with opportunities and resources to empower them to achieve their full potential.

  7:30 p.m.   University Theatre, Charlotte York Irey Theatre
Enjoy a potential mix of hip-hop, fusion forms and improvised offerings crafted by undergraduate and graduate dance students.

  8 p.m.   Village Center, Multipurpose Rooms
Get ready to sashay and slay at this semester's Drag Bingo event featuring local drag royalty Alex Vaughn and Kai Lee Mykels! Make sure to bring all of your friends along for the chance to win cool prizes!
