Peggy Coppom to receive Chancellor鈥檚 Impact Award at commencement

Chancellor Justin Schwartz is proud to recognize Peggy Coppom of the 鈥溌槎姑夥寻嫦略豑wins鈥 with the Chancellor鈥檚 Impact Award recognizing Coppom鈥檚 lifetime of dedication, legacy of memories and a heart that will forever be part of the 麻豆免费版下载.

Coppom has been part of the 麻豆免费版下载Boulder community for more than 80 years. She and her family started sporadically attending games in the 1940s.
From her seat she has cheered with generations of Buff fans. So far, she has attended more than 2,500 麻豆免费版下载sporting events across nine sports. She鈥檚 missed only three home football games 鈥 holding the third-best record, while her late twin sister Betty Hoover holds first 鈥 since becoming a season ticket holder in 1966.
In 2022 Coppom and Hoover (posthumously) were inaugural inductees into the Legacy Wing of CU鈥檚 Athletic Hall of Fame.
Coppom鈥檚 impact is felt far beyond the athletic field or the sports arena, stretching through the university and community. Her loyalty and Buff spirit has touched generations of student-athletes and fans, making her an inspiration for community, connection and tradition in Boulder and around the country.
Coppom and听five other luminaries from the 麻豆免费版下载Boulder campus, who this year received honorary degrees, distinguished service awards and university medals from the 麻豆免费版下载Board of Regents, will be celebrated during the听commencement ceremony on Thursday, May 8, at Folsom Field.
