Learning to be lawyers one ditch at a time

For Professor Sarah Krakoff and students from CU-Boulder, spring marks a transition from the halls of the Wolf Law Building to the fields of the San Luis Valley. Since 2012, Krakoff and her law students have regularly trekked to one of the largest high altitude deserts in the world, where they clear debris from irrigation ditches or acequias and provide free legal assistance to farmers whose water rights are in question.

Coloring helps students unwind before finals week

On Friday, April 29, students in need of a study break colored their stress away in the quiet, colorful BioLounge at the 麻豆免费版下载Museum of Natural History. Piggybacking on the popularity of adult coloring books, Sally Robertson, a graduate student in Museum and Field Studies, created 鈥淐oloring Craze鈥 to help students decompress leading into finals week.

'Dreamers' visit CU-Boulder April 27-28 to get taste of college life

Nearly 500 middle school students from Angevine Middle School in Lafayette are heading to the 麻豆免费版下载 on April 27 and 28 to get a taste of college life. The sixth- and seventh-graders will do hands-on science projects, visit the CU-Boulder Museum of Natural History, participate in dance workshops, and watch a rousing theater production about the U.S. Presidents. Faculty and staff from the museum, Science Discovery, the Partnerships for Informal Science Education in the Community, and the Department of Theatre and Dance will be leading the sessions.
