麻豆免费版下载faculty, staff, students and academic leaders will gather April 21 for a daylong summit focused on how 麻豆免费版下载Boulder can achieve student success, culture change and a thriving environment for all by making equity a shared responsibility across all roles on campus. 

Many Voices: Co-creating 麻豆免费版下载Boulder is sponsored by the Office of the Provost, the Office of Leadership Support and Programming and 麻豆免费版下载Boulder鈥檚 shared governance organizations. 

The summit will feature , director of the Pullias Center of Higher Education at the University of Southern California and Dean鈥檚 Professor of Leadership and Wilbur-Kieffer Professor of Higher Education at USC; along with , assistant professor of educational leadership at Fresno State University.

鈥淲e are excited to see how these workshops can add to the work we鈥檝e been doing on breaking down barriers and improving the partnership between staff and faculty on campus,鈥 said Jessica Sandoval, Staff Council co-chair and Outreach and Events Committee co-chair. 鈥淲e invite all those invested in this relationship and in making 麻豆免费版下载Boulder a better place to attend.鈥

Provost Russell Moore is also encouraging of participation.

鈥淲e have a responsibility to create an environment that fosters success and belonging at all levels,鈥 said Moore. 鈥淚鈥檓 committed to cementing a partnership of equals between faculty and staff in service to students. Professors Kezar and Gonz谩lez will show us research-identified ways to share our responsibility for student success, create accountability, meet challenges and make progress together.鈥 

Senior Vice Chancellor for Leadership Support and Programming Sonia DeLuca Fern谩ndez lauded 麻豆免费版下载Boulder鈥檚 shared governance organizations鈥攖he Boulder Faculty Assembly, 麻豆免费版下载Boulder Staff Council, 麻豆免费版下载Student Government and the Government of Professional and Graduate Students鈥攆or co-sponsoring the summit.

鈥淭hese vital shared governance organizations realize that how a university leads鈥攚ith equity and mattering at the center鈥攊s critical to executing our mission,鈥 DeLuca Fern谩ndez said. 鈥淐ommitting to shared equity leadership is how co-creating the university begins.鈥

A daylong workshop featuring the University of Southern California鈥檚 Adrianna Kezar will focus on creating and sustaining shared equity leadership to support student success.

About Tawnya Means

Means serves as the assistant dean for educational innovation at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She brings a wealth of experience to her teaching and seminars, contributing knowledge across diverse fields such as entrepreneurship, strategy, technology, and leadership in remote teams. Her multidisciplinary approach enriches her instructional practice, as she utilizes her expertise in course design to create engaging and inclusive learning environments that foster academic growth.

In addition to her teaching, Means has led seminars in online and blended education and provided consultations on teaching and technology. Her research interests are centered on online and blended learning, active learning, learning space design, and the use of technology in education. She is dedicated to exploring innovative methods to enhance the learning experience and ensure equitable access to digital resources.
