Burridge Center for Finance

Welcome to the Burridge Center for Finance

True to its mission to enhance and elevate finance at Leeds, building superior innovation and talent, the Burridge Center is committed to supporting the key initiatives of the Rustandy Endowed Dean of the Leeds School of Business, expanding our reach into both the diverse student population and the global financial services industry.

The goal of the Burridge Center is to support its three stakeholder groups:

  1. Students: Prepare and launch a diverse pipeline of financial leaders of the future.
  2. Faculty: Support and share world class faculty research and share Leeds’ reputation for excellence globally.
  3. Board, External Partners, Alumni:  Develop a strong and diverse Advisory Board that can support the efforts of the Center. Identify and form strategic alliances with corporations and other industry organizations to foster collaboration, student support and interest in supporting our conference and programs.

The Burridge Center offers experiences and programs that bring our stakeholders together to provide networking, access to industry, and a platform to recognize the thought leadership published by the finance division of Leeds and discuss current industry trends.

Meet Nathan

Nathan graduated in May 2019 with an Economics minor. He now works at Goldman Sachs in New York as an Investment Banking Analyst. He says he is most excited for the learning and growth opportunities that banking offers, and he will undergo a large amount of training, face a steep learning curve, and be placed in a competitive work environment. Nathan says that he enjoys situations that require him to analyze strategies, environmental conditions, structure, and future opportunities. From an educational standpoint, Nathan credits the Investment Banking seminar course for providing him exposure to the fundamentals of corporate finance and investment banking. Additionally he took advantage of the Bloomberg Lab at Leeds, which allowed him to explore and learn about various market concepts. Nathan also thanks the Leeds Career Office for ensuring he was prepared for interviews and knowledgeable about the industry.
