Leeds School of Business Wins Innovation Program Award by the AACSB for Elevating Entrepreneurial Mindsets
The innovative Demystifying Entrepreneurship workshop series produced by the at the Leeds School of Business, has received global acclaim in the by AACSB International, the world鈥檚 largest business education alliance.
Leeds is one of the 25 business schools chosen this year, out of a pool of 1,700.
The annual challenge selects institutions that serve as change-agents in business education, encourage out-of-the-box thinking and transform the face of higher education. This year鈥檚 theme, 鈥淐atalysts for Innovation,鈥 is about elevating entrepreneurial thinking and new business creation.
The workshop series, presented by the Deming Center, transports Leeds business faculty throughout rural Colorado to teach innovation and entrepreneurship to current and aspiring entrepreneurs. The interactive certificate course provides a fundamental framework and tool set that helps entrepreneurs develop in-demand products and services, avoid pitfalls, and succeed.
Not only do entrepreneurs benefit from this program, but small mountain communities enjoy better economic viability and sustainability when local entrepreneurs are successful.
鈥淥ur workshops target areas that are challenged by economic hardships, such as the closing of coal mines, to support the education of current and potential community business owners,鈥 says Erick Mueller, executive director of the Deming Center at Leeds.
