Event Funding Opportunities
Small Grants
The Center for British & Irish Studies invites applications from Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder faculty, staff, and students who are planning to host an event related to the academic study of British & Irish history, society, and cultureÌýas part of the course and scope of their duties for CU. (RSO’s may not apply.)Ìý

The Center may contribute up to $1,500 toÌýsupport individual events, such as lectures, readings, and recitals, as well as relatively small events such as half-day or single-day conferences.
These grants may only be used for
- Honoraria (which must be processed by a department's finance manager)
- Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØcatering services (/eventsplanning/catering),
- The use of theÌýBritish & IrishÌýStudies Room.Ìý (Booking the CBIS Room is done separatelyÌýand requiresÌýfollowing the procedures outlined inÌý/center/british-irish-studies/cbis-room. Events need not take place in the CBIS Room, but must be held on the Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder campus.)
Requests are considered on a rolling basis from August 15 – April 15. Funding is not guaranteed, either in toto or in part.
Complete applications consist of the application form along with the required appendices, including the budget template. They must be submittedÌýat least two months prior to the start of the eventÌýto the Executive Director of CBISÌýatÌýcbis@colorado.edu. Submissions are accepted from August 15 to April 15.

Partnership OpportunitiesÌý
Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder faculty and graduate students who wish to bring major national and international conferences on global British & Irish studies to Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder are invited to contact the Executive Director of CBISÌýatÌýcbis@colorado.edu at least 12 months before the anticipated conference date to discuss possible partnership opportunities. ÌýPlease note that such conversations must be initiated between August 15 and March 15.
