Mental Health and Wellness Faculty Fellows
The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) invites applications for a year-long Faculty Fellowship program focused on student wellness in teaching and classroom contexts.
In recent years, the rise in mental health concerns in higher education has profoundly impacted student learning, engagement, and retention. This timely program provides faculty with a collaborative space to explore ways to proactively support student mental health while addressing their own teaching and classroom needs.
Program Highlights
- Collaborative Approach: Faculty fellows will identify emerging mental health challenges, explore solutions for addressing these issues in the classroom, and envision strategies to adapt their teaching for the next 3-5 years.
- Focus on Impact: Participants will work collectively to design and implement projects that enhance learning while fostering a supportive classroom environment.
- Expert Guidance: Fellows will engage in monthly discussions with the CTL Director, staff, and other campus experts to exchange ideas and develop actionable strategies.
- Funding Support: Fellows will receive $1,500 in a research account upon completing the program.
Eligibility and Application
This program is open to tenure-track and teaching professors. To apply, please submit the following by October 1, 2023:

- Letter of Support from a department chair or director endorsing your participation
