Black Hair + Storytelling as a Form of Social Activism

Using her bookÌýMy Beautiful Black Hair: 101 Natural Hair Stories from the SisterhoodÌýas a catalyst to discuss themes of Black hair and self-love,ÌýSt.ÌýClairÌýwill share the things she's learned during her four-year journey documenting natural hair stories. The presentation will encourage students to consider more deeply their own stories, identities and communities.

Join us at 3:30pm for a special tour given by artists-in-residence Charlie Billingsley and Von Ross of the Museum for Black girls as they give a brief tour of their exhibition, Museum for Black Girls: "We CU: A Visual Celebration of Black Womanhood, Presence, and Connectedness". St. Clair's talk will begin at 4:00pm and light refreshments will be served afterwards.
