Modification of annual merit evaluation formula

For purposes of annual merit evaluation, the efforts and accomplishments of a faculty member on sabbatical or faculty fellowship primarily related to research are generally assigned weightings of 10% teaching, 80% creative and scholarly work, and 10% leadership and service.

  • For faculty on sabbatical for two semesters in a calendar year this will generally result in an annual merit formula of 10% teaching, 80% creative and scholarly work, and 10% leadership and service for that calendar year.
  • For faculty on sabbatical for one semester in a calendar year, weightings will be averaged between the two semesters.ÌýIf faculty members have typical weightings, this would result in an annual merit formula of 25% teaching, 60% creative and scholarly work, and 15% leadership and service for that calendar year.
