Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder health insurance requirements
All students are required to carry comprehensive health insurance while attending Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder.
Who needs to complete the insurance requirement?
- Students taking six (6) or more undergraduate credit hours
- Students taking one (1) or more graduate credit hours
- International students (excluding exchange students)
You’ll need to complete the university's mandatory insurance requirement your first semester at Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØand at the beginning of every academic year. Once you are registered for the minimum number of credits, you will receive introductory emails from our partners at Academic HealthPlans. You will also gain access to the insurance portal to waive or enroll in Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder’s health insurance plan.
How to complete the insurance requirement
Students can complete this requirement by:
- Enrolling in the Anthem Gold Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP)
- Submitting a waiver to use your own private or personal health insurance plan*
*Please note: Those who do not submit a waiver and have it approved by the deadline will be automatically enrolled in the Anthem Gold SHIP and billed for the semester. No refunds are issued after the deadline.
