Dr. Sabrina C. Sideris

Sabrina Sideris

Sabrina Carolina Sideris has been the Director of The INVST Program since 2007. Sabrina’s professional purpose is to support learners as they decide upon a course of reflective action for positive change, dedicating themselves to eco-social justice work. She is passionate about helping people become more skillful change makers. Sabrina was in INVST as a student from 1998-2000 and she has been involved in INVST's leadership ever since. She has a Masters Degree in Peace Education from the United Nations-mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica and she earned her Doctoral Degree in Higher Education at the University of Denver where her dissertation was on "The Racialization of Relationships Between Higher Education Institutions and Cities: A Critical Discourse Analysis of Changing North Denver." She studies race, place and space. In her free time, Sabrina likes to play ping pong with her wife Sarah, read to her child Cora, and spend time outside enjoying the beauty of Colorado with her dog Quimby.

Allie Van Buskirk, MA

Allison Van Buskirk

Allie is an INVST alumni who has worn many hats with INVST. She brings a unique skill set: a wealth of non-profit management, resource development, and group facilitation experience combined with years of personal mindfulness practice and a Masters Degree in Contemplative Education from Naropa University. She is passionate about supporting community leaders and grassroots organizers in developing a sense of self that will truly enable a lifetime commitment to compassionate action. When she isn’t teaching leadership at Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder, Allie can be found exploring Colorado’s beautiful mountains with her son; making herbal medicines; experimenting with cooking; leading women’s groups; or reading a good book. Allie is a Thought Partner to INVST staff and volunteers. She is the co-founder of the INVST Advisory Circle.
