Prospective Students
All inquires should be made via email to Prof. Ferguson.
Graduate Student Positions:
Interested graduate students should provide a CV and brief statement of research interests and career goals. We often have openings in the areas of 1) multimodal imaging and multiscale biomechanics, 2) mechanics of tissues and materials for musculoskeletal tissue regeneration, and 3) mechanics and mechanobiology of musuloskeletal and reproductive tissues.
Note: we are currently seeking a current Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder student interested in completing a Master's thesis to work with micro-computed tomography imaging of mouse bones to study a cause for menopausal bone loss that is not due to estrogen. This is an exciting new project and may lead to potential funding as a Ph.D. student for interested and qualified candidates. Please contact Prof. Ferguson by email if interested.
Undergraduate Student Positions:
Interested undergraduate students should contact Prof. Ferguson to inquire about open positions that match your research interests. We frequently support students through paid hourly positions, independent study for course credit (ask your undergraduate advisor for details, and contact Prof. Ferguson if this seems to be a good fit!), and established programs at Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder including the Undergradaute Research Opportunities Program (UROP) and Biological Sciences Initiative (BSI), Discovery Learning Apprenticeship (DLA) in the College of Engineeering and Applied Sciences, Summer Multicultural Access to Research Training (SMART) program summer students from around the U.S., and (our favorite, as we co-created it!) You're Own Undergradaute Research Experience at Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØ- YOU'RE@CU.
