Sexual Misconduct, Intimate Partner Violence & Stalking
University policy outlines a range of behaviors that are prohibited under this university policy. These behaviors may also be a violation of the law. The Sexual Misconduct, Intimate Partner Violence, and Stalking Policy applies to behaviors committed on campus or behaviors off campus where both parties are Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØstudents, staff, or faculty. The policy also applies to off-campus cases where only one of the parties is affiliated with CU, where certain risk factors are present. This can include an alleged pattern of misconduct, alleged use of weapons and/or violence, threats of future violence, and/or a reasonable risk of safety to the university community.

Sexual harassment, sexual violence, and other gender-based or sex-based harassment occurring in the college setting implicates federal law including the Violence Against Women Act, and Title IX of the Higher Education Amendments of 1972, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs or activities.
