Quality Management for Alternate Delivery Methods
The TCM members developed a research statement for advanced quality systems, and with the support of the AASHTO Subcommittee on Construction, The National Cooperative Highway Research program initiated NCHRP Project 10-83 - "Alternative Quality Management Systems for Highway Construction." This 27-month research study examines alternate quality management procedures that are used in transportation and other construction sectors (ISO-9001, Corps of Engineers, and other construction markets) to document the advantages and disadvantages of alternate systems and describe potential applications in the highway industry.
