Students in the College of Arts and Sciences gain in-depth knowledge, skills, professional experience and the confidence to meet 21st-century career challenges, while our liberal arts education teaches students how to interpret and interact with the world—skills often demanded by employers.

Between our onboarding experience,scholarship offerings and our extensive degree options, we work to create life-changing experiences for students, beginning and lasting well beyond when students graduate.

     

First-Year Students

You are considered a first-year student if you have not enrolled at another college or university since graduating from high school.

Transfer Students

You are considered a transfer student if you have enrolled at another college or university since graduating from high school.

Graduate Students

You are considered a graduate student if you have earned a bachelor's degree and are pursuing an advanced degree in a specific field.

Applying as an international student?

You are an international student if you need a visa to be in the U.S. U.S. passport and green card holders should apply as U.S. students. Scholarships

The College of Arts and Sciences awards more than 200 scholarships each year to first-year and continuing students with a major in the Arts and Sciences.

Scholarships are awarded by the Dean’s Office and by many of the departments based on academic merit, financial need, extracurricular activities, leadership experience or other considerations.
