Interviewing Strategies: How to Ask Effective Questions, Evaluate Answers, and Make Outstanding Hires

Course Description

The purpose of Interviewing Strategies is to provide Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder staff, faculty, hiring managers, and hiring committees with the skills needed to interview candidates effectively and equitably. Interviewing Strategies will provide a foundation for conducting an inclusive interview process, creating a positive candidate experience and hiring the best talent for the Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder community. This course strives to support our campus community in hiring successful employees and remaining an employer of choice in a competitive market. 

Learning Outcomes

After attending the Interviewing Strategies training session, participants will be able to:

  • Effectively prepare for the interview and organize related components of the interview process
  • Develop and ask effective interview questions
  • Appropriately evaluate candidate answers
  • Create a positive candidate experience
