What It Is

Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØGuest AccessÌýis a read-only, online option for guests to view a student's record. Students establish a guest account for a parent or third party through the student portal and select which components of their record to share.

Guests have access to information in the student's Campus Solutions student center,Ìýsimilar to what faculty and staff see in the Student Services Center component (admin view).ÌýGuests cannot complete any transactions on behalf of the student, and Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØGuest Access does not authorize the university to release or discuss nondirectory information about students to the guest.

As stated above,ÌýÂ鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØGuest Access does not authorize the university to release or discuss non-directory information about students to the guest.

If a guest calls with questions and you can't verifyÌýFERPA Consent to ReleaseÌýfor that person, don't release any information. Direct them to contact theÌýstudent.

Unless you're in the Office of the Registrar and have administratorÌýrights for Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØGuest Access, you can't see a live version. Depending on which record items the student grants their guest access to, the guest can see the same information the student does in the Student Center in Campus Solutions.

Don't give out any data. FERPA protections still apply if a guest is using Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØGuest Access with no consent on file.

Guests using Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØGuest Access should first work with their student for assistance. If they still have questions, direct them to the Office of the Registrar.
